Misty Wade Hovey
Misty has over fifteen years of marketing and communications experience within the public, private and non-profit sectors. As a relationship-building professional, she is geared to getting the word out on initiatives that have impact, that inspire and that educate.
At EcoAdvisors, she manages client relations and leads communications and marketing efforts to articulate sustainability opportunities, improvements and create a multiplier effect for good. Previously as Director of Marketing, Digital and Social Media for the Executive Council Office with the Province of New Brunswick, she led the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and social media campaigns, promotional activities, video and digital initiatives on behalf of a dozen government departments – ranging from climate change awareness to cycling safety.
Travelling is also in her DNA. At a young age, she performed world-wide with a song and dance troupe who became ambassadors for New Brunswick and Canada. She later put that passion into action while working in communications for Ottawa Tourism where she has engaged with travel media from around the world to spotlight Canada’s capital city and the ecotourism attractions within it.
Misty has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of New Brunswick and is fluent in English and French.
Whether it’s fly-fishing, skiing, traveling across the US and Canada hauling a trailer with her extended family (she survived!) or singing and playing guitar around a campfire, Misty enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her family, including her husband and two busy boys.
